Break the biscuits into pieces \u2013 they need to be no smaller than a pea, but not too chunky or your rocky road won\u2019t hold together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">STEP 2<\/span>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Halve any larger nuts either by snapping them or carefully cutting with a\u00a0knife, then combine them with the biscuits. Halve any large pieces of dried fruit and chop or snap sweets into smaller pieces, then add these to the bowl.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">STEP 3<\/span>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Melt 300g of the chocolate, the butter and the golden syrup carefully in a pan set over a low heat, stirring occasionally, then pour this <a href=\"https:\/\/traveling-cook.com\/hotel-de-talleyrand-decoration-and-restoration\/\">over the biscuit<\/a> and nut mixture and mix together so the chocolate covers everything.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">STEP 4<\/span>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Tip the mixture into the tin, then level the top \u2013 it doesn\u2019t need to be completely smooth. Melt\u00a0the remaining chocolate in the\u00a0microwave\u00a0in short blasts, or in a heatproof bowl over a small pan of simmering water, then drizzle this over the top and sprinkle with the decorations.
