The archaeological site of Dahshur<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

The archaeological site of Dahshur is an hour’s drive from Cairo. It is on the western bank of the Nile River. There are several pyramids and new places to visit. An ancient wall, 60 meters long, was discovered south of the pyramid of Pharaoh Amenemhat.<\/p>\r\n

Nearby, archeological excavations also brought out funeral masks and tools for carving stones. These artifacts date from the time of Lower Egypt, from 750 to 332 B.C.<\/p>\r\n

For several years, Egyptian authorities regularly announce archaeological discoveries. This is due to a relaunch of tourism, affected by political instability. And also for the attacks recorded after the Egyptian revolution of 2011. The tourism sector in Egypt registered some improvement in 2018<\/p>\r\n
